BAC/EE Football Club originated from the Dick Kerr Engineering Company in Preston, a major employer in the town. For many years the company sporting activities use local amenities like Ashton Park.

The famous Dick Kerr ladies football team are part of the companies history while the men’s team first won the Preston & District Football League in 1925/26 season, after the company became known as the English Electric Engineering Company and its men’s football team enjoyed regular success in the Preston & District Football League, in 1962 the English Electric Football Club became members of the newly reformed West Lancashire Football League.

In line with the company splitting in two, and now becoming British Aircraft Corporation and English Electric Engineering Company they changed their name to BAC Preston F.C. at that time all players had to be companies employees, in 1999 they changed their name to BAC/EE Preston F. C., and in 2006 they amalgamated with Springfields F.C. and changed their name to BAC/EE Springfields F.C., they run two teams both playing in the West Lancashire Football League.
